MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A heads-up for those living and commuting near downtown Minneapolis.
The Third Avenue Bridge — which connects Central Avenue Southeast with downtown — is closing next Monday, Jan. 4, for repairs, and it’s not scheduled to re-open for two years.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the more-than-100-year-old bridge is deteriorating. Drivers can expect a much smoother and improved bridge when it reopens.
