The Willmar City Council approved a new ordinance establishing the Renaissance Zone District in and adjacent to the downtown business district. Also approved were parking and fee waiver development incentives and a change to parking restrictions in the downtown central business district. The hope is the Renaissance Zone will entice developers to bring new commercial and residential projects to the area.
