Now a NHL veteran back in hockey country, Nate Schmidt is still smiling

As he starts his ninth NHL season and first with the Winnipeg Jets — his 3rd team in the last 3 seasons — the veteran defenseman and former Minnesota Gopher is enjoying his return to a place where hockey is an ingrained part of the culture, similar to his roots in Central Minnesota.
