Negotiations for hostage release are ongoing as Israel appears to be expanding offensive

As negotiations continue between Israel and Hamas for the release of the hostages, Israel appears to be expanding its offensive from northern Gaza to the south, where hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were told to flee for their safety.
