A rare, 10.38-carat diamond is making its way around the globe before going to auction at Christie’s next month. The kite-shaped, purple-pink stone is believed to have been passed from France’s Queen Marie Antoinette to her daughter. Rahul Kadakia, the international head of jewelry at Christie’s, describes the jewel.
