It's November 18, 2018 start now and make plans to see Fifty Lakes today!
There are a great many cities to visit across the United States both large and small. Like precious gems, these small out of the way pockets of natural beauty that are only found by those who dare to explore. Fifty Lakes, located in Crow Wing County in the State of Minnesota, is such a place.
For many who visit the area, this is a place to relax and unwind. A truely calming environment where people enoy nature and the outdoors. Fishing is extremely popular in these parts. Eagle lake is popular and offers a variety of species of fish to challenge even the best angalers. Some fish species found in the lakes include. Black Crappie, Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, Nothern Pike, Rock Bass and Walleye to name a few. For more information visit The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Lake Find page. You can see survey data for the takes taken at various intervals. Please also read the section on Invasive species and use of trailored boats.
There is a place to stay in the summer right on Eagle Lake but it tends to have a waiting list due to its location and popularity. The Eagle Lake Lodge boasts 5 cabins right on the lake with ammenties. It's a dream location for a fun fishing trip. Chekc out their website for more details.
Fifty Lakes is a thriving and active community. One of my favorite sites is the 50 Lakes Bar & Bottle Shop.0 What makes it interesting is it much like the old pubilc houses of years past. The facility serves as both a meeting place and a store to dispense liquer. The old building was replaced by a new facilty in 2005 just down the road. There is a bingo night, texas hold-em night. They alos have 2 pool tables and horse shoes, video games and a couple large TV's to watch sports.
